MARQUIS is the largest provider of MCIF solutions in financial services. We also have over 100 CRM installations. Our Direct Marketing division is the fastest growing Creative Agency in financial services. We help hundreds of banks, thrifts and credit unions manage CRA, HMDA and Fair Lending Compliance.

When was your company started?

MARQUIS began 25 years ago.

What is your targeted market?

For Marketing, we focus our attention on Banks, Thrifts and Credit Unions from about $100M to $50 Billion in assets. In compliance, we typically direct our sales efforts to banks and thrifts greater than $600M in assets.

Who is your competition, and what do you do better?

Regardless of the competition, we pride ourselves on providing solutions that are easy to use, complete and affordable. Differing MARQUIS solutions offer specific product advantages, such as an automatic daily updated MCIF with built-in direct marketing triggers, and turnkey fulfillment and measurement.

Our Compliance solutions live by the same Easy, Complete, and Affordable standard.

MARQUIS exceeds client’s expectations by actually doing what we say we will. It is simple really. We partner with clients and go out of our way to help them achieve measurable success.

How many current customers do you have and what is your estimated yearly growth?

Nearly 750 banks, thrifts and credit unions in the United States and abroad are clients. Our growth is found both with new relationships and in helping to solve new challenges for existing clients.

What types of products and/or services do you offer?

MARQUIS provides solutions that get provable results. Specifically we offer MCIF software and outsourced services, CRM software, Direct Marketing creative and fulfillment, marketing consulting, along with our solutions for compliance: CRA, HMDA and Fair Lending software, services and consulting.

How do you see your company in the next 2-5 years?

MARQUIS will contunue to assist financial instituttions with Marketing, Sales and Compliance. New products will enhance our standing in the financial services industry.

How many employees and/or freelance contractors do you currently have?

There are about 60 full time employees at MARQUIS. We perform all of the sales, software develpment, training, creative, printing/fulfillment, consulting, etc ourselves. We do not use outside resources to fulfill our obligations with clients. This insures that we can exceed their expectations!

How much does your company embrace risk?

MARQUIS helps clients manage risk. We are typically looking for ways to avoid unecessary risk of any kind.

What has been the biggest challenge you have had to overcome as a company?

Our biggest challenge has been in moving from a small family business to a sophisticated, multi-vertical enterprise.

What else is interesting about your story?

We are still a very private, family business.

FI Compliance Solutions was formed in 2008 with the sole purpose of providing industry leading enterprise-risk management (ERM) and compliance solutions specifically for financial institutions. Our first product GRC Pro was launched in 2009 and has been completely revamped and renamed to ERM 365 in early 2012.

ERM 365 is a web-based enterprise-risk monitoring service providing software that is easy-to-use, service from dedicated specialists, and support to guaranty the success of our clients. ERM 365 is used to help automate the risk assessment and reporting process while monitoring risk 365 days a year. ERM 365 includes many time-saving features like an expert developed key risk library, real-time dashboards, and automated alerts and notifications. An optional compliance toolkit also provides additional resources giving everyone in the institution access to ask the expert compliance advice, compliance knowledge base, policy and advertisement review, compliance manual, weekly compliance newsletters, regulatory updates, and webinars that have been approved for CRCM credits.

ERM 365 is completely customizable and can be used to conduct risk assessments, monitor key risk indicators, and ensure compliance with internal policies, laws, and regulations.

Who is your competition, and what do you do better?

Quantivate, Wolfpac, Supernal, along with homegrown solutions that are developed internally using Word and Excel. What makes our solution stand out is the level of support and responsiveness to our clients needs. We assign a dedicated senior business advisor and an implemetation specialist to every customer in order to automate their existing risk processes and customize the solution based on their specific needs.

Pricing for ERM 365 is primarily based on asset size.

460+ current users, adding 90-120 new users every year.

What type of help support is offered?

Unlimited implementation and conversion services, support, and product training are all included with the annual fee.

What else is interesting about your product/service?

Mainly the fact that is was designed by bankers. We spent alot of time talking to prospects and customers about what they wanted in a solution and how to design it. The end result was a simple to use interface that allows clients to effectively start using the product right out of the box with minimal training.

The RiskKey product was originally a tool developed and used internally by Garland Group in 2006 to aide in the management of Technology Risks, Audit and Compliance services they provide for Financial Institutions. Garland Group clients wanted to use the tool themselves and the RiskKey product was born in 2008 and formed into its own company in 2011

What is your product or service?

RiskKey is an enterprise grade, Web-based, compliance management software platform.

Our vision for the product is to help an organization to automate, collaborate, and standardize an organizations compliance program.

Why would a bank or credit union use your product/service?

Banks and credit unions could use this product to help anaylze and assess risk for their institution. It is focused on bottom line results, simplicity and was of use.

1) Reduce their security compliance costs by lessening the manpower and time needed to complete risk assessments and IT Audits. RiskKey automates the entire process

2) RiskKey allows them to proactively manage their risk by monitoring, tracking, analyzing, and reporting your assessments to the Board and the Examiners

3) Extend their compliance capabilities by eliminating laborious and time consuming processes. RiskKey’s collaboration features, audit trails, simplified assessments and reporting allow clients to achieve improved security compliance efficiency
