Alpha-Numeric Consulting, LLC

Please give a short bio of your company

Alpha-Numeric Consulting specializes in risk management, model certifications, and ALM IRR model validations for all asset sizes, charters and models. It is a nationally recognized provider of services which also includes ALCO/Board training.

When was your company started?

The company began in 2006, with the first year’s focus on internal audit and on the writing of the Internal Audit Desk Reference.

What is your targeted market?

Financial institutions under $50 billion.

Who is your competition, and what do you do better?

We consider our competition to come from two fronts. The first front includes other vendors or consulting firms that offer similar services to mine and who are also well respected throughout the industry. Less than honorable and/or inexperienced consultants also provide competition, but weaken the product or service. Alpha-Numeric offers a comprehensive quality product, on time, and at a fair price.

How many current customers do you have and what is your estimated yearly growth?

We have approximately 250+ clients and are growing by at least 10% annually.

What types of products and/or services do you offer?

Model validations, software certifications (IRR and Liquidity), Seminars and webinars, ALCO and Board training.

How do you see your company in the next 2-5 years?

In the next 2-5 years I hope to see the company still prominent and relevant in the ALM/IRR services sector. The regulatory guidelines and economic conditions will help to shape the products and services that will be offered in the future. Our goal is to maintain the highest level of customer confidence and to continue to deliver a regulatory compliant and informative product.

How many employees and/or freelance contractors do you currently have?

We are a small company with the same core level of employees for the past 4 years. We do occasionally use freelance employees for non-confidential data projects. Additionally, we are in the second year of our summer intern program.

How much does your company embrace risk?

The company is risk adverse.

What has been the biggest challenge you have had to overcome as a company?

The biggest challenge we have had to overcome is maintaining a balance and not falling into the temptation of working 100 hour weeks to the exclusion of all else.

What else is interesting about your story?

We have a social conscious. We strive to be as paperless as possible and we recycle. Everyone involved with the company is also involved in community events and volunteers time with civic and church events. We tele-commute and use web meetings as often as possible in lieu of travel.
